Combined Council Meeting Minutes, February 27, 2008 at Ss. C&M
Members present:
Fr. Glenn Powers, Lynn Schultz, Jean Babisch, Tom Zagrodnik, Tim Grasse,
Jesse Udovich, Rick Marfilius. Members
excused: Dan McCarthy, Len Melanz, Judy
Stalter, and Kathy Schroeder.

January minutes corrections: roof replacement
costs: was 22-25M, should be:
$2,200-2,500.
January 23, minutes approved as corrected.
Finance review:
General envelope giving is down, budgets will be reviewed at the April
Council meeting, budgets are very
conservative, School budget agreement has been reached.
Pastor’s Report

Vision Statement for STOC program was reviewed and approved with minor
revisions.
▪
Case Statement for the Stewardship Capital Campaign was reviewed,
discussed, and approved by the Council.
▪
Southside Leadership Committee met, members were encouraged to keep the
lines of communication open.
▪
Retreat plans were held over until April meeting.
▪
Nomination Process: Nominations
will take place in pew on March 1-2.
Recording secretary will tabulate and give nominated names to Council
members. They are to make phone contact prior to the March Council meeting.
Liaison’s report:

Prayer & Worship: Completed
schedules through the summer.
▪
Building and Grounds: Heating
problem…has been taken care of.
▪
Human Concerns: Sixteen homebound
and holiday meals delivered.
Yvonne Woelfel, parish nurse (I.C.) will
offer blood pressure tests on
the First Friday of the month.
April 13, next meeting.

Public Relations: SsCM is trying
to find a Chair for the 100th Anniversary project.
